Every great company is shaped by the people who steward it through change, and few have done so with more heart than Alyssa Paoletti Fry. As she steps down as President of the Sacramento Ballet Board of Directors, we celebrate an era defined by thoughtful leadership, steady guidance, and deep devotion to our artists, students, and community. The Board of Directors shares their thanks below:

Thank You, Madame President!

Allow us an opportunity to share our deep gratitude and appreciation to Alyssa Paoletti Fry who concluded her term as President of the Sacramento Ballet Board of Directors on June 30. Alyssa and her husband Ken, who is also retiring from the Board, have been long-standing, generous supporters of the Ballet.

Our amazing Ballet Company, its dancers, students, staff, and Board of Directors, would certainly not be what it is today, or poised for what lies ahead, without Alyssa’s profound commitment to and abiding love of the work we do together to bring ballet to our community. Over the past year, Alyssa’s steady hand and incredible devotion guided the Ballet through significant change and growth: leadership transitions, expansion of our school, a growing and active Board, expanded community outreach, and so much more. With Alyssa’s steadfast and thoughtful leadership, the Ballet moved through these challenges, opportunities, and successes, always focusing on careful stewardship of its traditions, support for our amazing artists and teachers, and elevated performances that inspired audiences throughout the season.

Alyssa’s kindness and devotion to the Ballet are evident to our patrons and community partners, as is her keen eye for the most perfect Nutcracker ornaments and souvenirs. She has been a remarkable leader, mentor, friend, and colleague to us all. We are so privileged to have Alyssa continue in a leadership role as Immediate Past President of the Board and the Ballet’s most enthusiastic cheerleader. Like the leaps of our talented company dancers, our appreciation knows no bounds.
