Student Matinee 2026
Each year, the Sacramento Ballet presents captivating matinee performances of Nutcracker exclusively for students, immersing them in the enchanting world of ballet during regular school hours. The theater comes alive with the buzz of young audiences, and the moment the music begins, the excitement is palpable!
These special performances are open to public, private, charter, and home school groups, offering a unique opportunity for students to experience the magic of ballet. Please note that groups must have 25 or more students to qualify.

To request tickets, click on the button below and complete the google form in its entirety. After you have filled out and submitted your request, we will contact you within 2 weeks to acknowledge our receipt of your request and to collect payment. Full payment must be received by Friday, November 6, 2026. Reservations that are not paid by this date may be released, and seating availability cannot be guaranteed.

RESERVATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
- Submission of this form is a reservation request only and does not guarantee seating.
- Reservations are confirmed only after you have received confirmation from the Sacramento Ballet Box Office.
- A $10 processing fee applies to each group order.
- A minimum group size of 25 attendees is required.
- Each group must designate one primary contact who is responsible for distributing tickets prior to the performance.
- Every attendee, including students and chaperones, must have a ticket to enter the theater.
- Groups should arrive at least 15 minutes before the performance begins. Late arrivals may not be seated immediately.
- Tickets will not be issued until payment has been received in full.
- Schools are responsible for providing adequate adult supervision for their students.
- Additional tickets requested after the initial reservation cannot be guaranteed in the same seating area.
- All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued.
We will invoice you the total within 2 weeks of completing the ticket form.
Payment in full is due by the Friday, November 6, 2026.
Seats are not reserved until payment is made in full.
Payment can be completed by check or credit card.
We want everyone to enjoy their magical experience at the ballet. We encourage you to use the following guidelines as a teaching tool for good behavior at the performance.
No late seating: Please arrive early to allow time for parking and entering the theater. Once the performance has begun, we will not interrupt the performance by opening the doors to the seating area.
No food or drink may be brought into the theatre: No outside food or drink is allowed in the theater.
No electronic or recording devices of any kind:
All performance elements are protected by copyright, taking photographs or making a recording of any kind is prohibited by law.
Please Note: The dancers use a red light at the back of the theater to help them turn. They focus on this light (called “spotting”) to help keep them from getting dizzy. A camera flash, cell phone light or video light could confuse the dancers and possibly cause them to fall and get injured.
Stay in your seat: Once the performance has begun, no child is allowed in the lobby without an adult.
Please note: You will not be allowed back into the seating area of the theater if you leave your seat. Patrons will be allowed to return to their seats at the intermission or when the performance has ended.
No talking: We would like everyone to appreciate the performance and not be distracted.
Applause: Show your appreciation with thunderous applause. Do not scream. If you wish to express your enthusiasm with words, it is appropriate to yell “Brava!” for the ballerina and “Bravo!” for the male dancer.
No throwing of objects of any kind: It is distracting to your fellow audience members and especially to the dancers on stage.
Adults are requested to remove disruptive children: Students may be asked to leave the theater for inappropriate behavior. Please keep your feet off of the seat in front of you.
