Summer Intensive FAQs

Students who are accepted will be asked to respond March 15, 2022. When registering, families will be asked to pay the registration fee of $500 ($200 is non-refundable) to hold their student’s spot in the program. Those who do not respond by their deadline will be put on a waitlist.

Students who meet the age requirements for admission may audition with a video submission, which will be accepted until March 31, 2023. Video submissions should include 3-4 exercises at barre, Center needs to include adagio, pirouettes, petite allegro and grande allegro.

Please pay the $40 fee by going to https://www.sacballet.org/school/summer-intensive-2023/. Once you have registered and paid we will send you a link to a google form to submit your video.

Although it is preferable to see a student in person, there is no disadvantage to auditioning by video.

The 5-week SI is for advanced students age 14-20.

The 3-week Junior Intensive is for 10-13 year olds

Chaperoned housing is available at the dorms at Sacramento State University. We are currently finalizing these arrangements. More information will be coming soon.

Yes. Please reply to your offer letter and include your request to attend only part of the SI. Please note the cost of the housing may increase to accommodate your request.

A limited number of needs‑based and merit scholarships are available.
