Darius Anagnos

Darius Anagnos began his training at School of American Ballet’s Boys program before moving to Ballet Academy East in New York City, where he trained for nine years under distinguished faculty including Darla Hoover, Stacey Calvert, Tara Mora, Olga Dvorovenko, Maxim Beloserkovsky, and Juan Carlos Peñuela. He performed lead roles in original works by Daniel Ulbricht and Gilbert Bolden III, and classical ballets including Franz in Roger Van Fleteren’s “Coppélia,” and “Waltz Boy” in George Balanchine’s “Serenade,” staged by Stacey Calvert for The George Balanchine Trust.

Darius completed his professional training at Pittsburgh Ballet Theater School’s Graduate Program on full scholarship. During this time,he performed with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre in Lew Christensen’s “Beauty and The Beast” and multiple roles in Terrance Orr’s “The Nutcracker.”

Since joining Sacramento Ballet’s Second Company in August 2024, Darius has performed in Michael Pink’s “Dracula,” Sacramento Ballet’s “Nutcracker” choreographed by Colby Damon, Julia Feldman, and Nicole Haskins, and the world premiere of Young Soon Hue’s “Romeo and Juliet.” Darius is thrilled to continue growing as an artist with Sacramento Ballet!
