Donations: Financial Aid
Did you know that your contributions support the aspirations of a new generation of dance artists? You can champion a youngster’s desire to shine.
This year, the Sacramento Ballet will provide over $40,000 in financial aid in the form of partial contributed tuition for qualifying young dance students. With our dance school enrollment now over 350(up almost 100% from two years ago), our dance studios are filled to overflowing with youngsters from all backgrounds who aspire to great things. Luckily, we have a small but dedicated group of supporters whose focus in their giving is to encourage young dancers to “shoot for the stars,” so that they might one day join our professional dancers on stage.
The need for tuition support has grown greatly over the last two years – both as a result of changing circumstances in the families of dance students due to the recession; and because of our effort to open our doors to talented youngsters regardless of their existing economic circumstances.
In addition to dedicated supporters of this effort including Thomas McCauley (in memorial), Eileen McCauley and Dennis Main, the contributions of many individual donations throughout the year make this possible.
