PETER RABBIT BALLET CAMPS

CLARA – SCHOOL OF THE SACRAMENTO BALLET – MARCH 22, 2026
Enjoy immersive ballet workshops based on the childhood story of Peter Rabbit! These exciting programs offer extensive ballet training, including ballet technique class, exploring the story, characters and music of the ballet, making fun crafts, learning original choreography from the ballet, and even meeting a few of the furry characters! The day wraps up with a special mini performance, giving participants the chance to shine and share what they’ve learned with friends and family.
We encourage students and families to attend the Sacramento Ballet’s Second Company’s performance of Peter Rabbit at C.K. McClatchy Auditorium on April 11th and 12th. Dancers participating in the Peter Rabbit camps will receive discounted tickets to a performance of Sacramento Ballet’s Family Series production of Peter Rabbit.
Participating dancers should bring a snack and water, as well as wear a leotard, tights, and ballet slippers (or wear comfortable clothing and bare feet).

CHILDREN’S SUMMER DANCE CAMPS 2026
AGES 4 – 6
The School of Sacramento Ballet’s Children’s Summer Dance Camps are the perfect introduction to dance and movement for children ages 4 – 6! These magical, half-day camps, blend creativity, storytelling, and ballet basics in a fun, supportive environment, ending each week with a special performance for family and friends. Throughout the day, dancers should bring their own snack and water to stay energized and hydrated as they explore, imagine, and dance their way through each joyful session.
No audition is necessary for the Children’s Summer Dance Camps

JUNE 15-19 – WELCOME TO OZ
9 AM – 12 PM
The Wonderful World of Oz is a fun journey down the yellow brick road, immersing children in a captivating and engaging summer experience. Campers explore a beloved story through movement, games, stories, and fun that spark their imagination and expression. Dancers will provide their own water bottle and snack every day.
JUNE 22-26 – ONCE UPON A TIME
9 AM – 12 PM
This magical dance experience brings fairytales to life. Once Upon A Time dance camp invites children to step into a world of enchanting storybook ballets and fairytale characters. Through music, movement, and storytelling, campers explore their creativity and imagination becoming princes, princesses, and other fairytale characters. Fairytale crafts, games, stories and dancing make this camp experience memorable and fun!
JULY 6-10 – JUNGLE CRUISE
9 AM – 12 PM
Welcome aboard the Jungle Cruise Dance Camp where little explorers embark on a wild adventure through the exciting world of dance! This camp is perfect for children who love animals, adventure, and expression through movement. From a sneaky tiger to a sleepy swaying sloth, kids will discover fun ways to move. This camp combines creative movement, ballet, crafts, games and storytelling to ignite young imaginations.
JULY 20-24 – ENCHANTED GARDEN DANCE CAMP

Discover a world of wonder at the Enchanted Garden Dance Camp! Dancers explore the magic of movement through graceful dance steps inspired by blooming flowers, fluttering butterflies, tea parties, and summertime fairies. A week of dance, games, crafts and more is planned. Discover a magical enchanted garden that will spark the imaginations of young dancers.
AUGUST 3-7 – UNDER THE SEA
9 AM – 12 PM
Join us for a splashing good time as we discover dances, stories and crafts about mermaids, pirates, and lots of sea creatures! Children will discover fun ways to move and express themselves, while being inspired by the magic of the sea.
