Davis Arts Center offers classes for very young dancers ages 5-11, just beginning their journey in dance education. Our new location offers an unparalleled opportunity for dancers at every stage, from young beginners to young students seeking rigorous training. Curated by School Director Jorge Laico, alongside our team of esteemed faculty, these programs cultivate technique, artistry, and performance in a supportive, creative atmosphere.

Our Creative Movement levels introduce ballet movements in a creative fun environment. Although children mature at different rates we ask that all students start in the class of the age they are on Sept 1. Creative Movement 2 is for 5 year olds, kindergarten.
Designed for children 7 years old, Ballet Fundamentals presses on toward our Student Division and adds a second day per week of curriculum. Students focus on basics and begin barre work.
Please sign up for both classes when registering for Thurs/Sat class schedule.
Level 1 is for beginner dancers. You do not need any experience to join this class, but you must be 8 by Sept 1. Students will meet 1.25 hours 2 times a week. It is very important for the students to attend all classes to be able to move up in the Student Division. Cost for this level is 9 payments of $190 paid monthly on the 15th of the month.
Level 2 is for beginner dancers. You do not need any experience to join this class, but you must be 9 by Sept 1. Students will meet 4.5 hours per week. It is very important for the students to attend all classes to be able to move up in the Student Division. Cost for this level is 9 payments of $255 paid monthly on the 15th of the month.

This summer, Sacramento Ballet is bringing the magic of dance to Davis, CA! Our Young Dancer Intensive and Fairytale Dance Camp offer an unforgettable experience for aspiring dancers, featuring the same world-class faculty that lead our renowned programs in Sacramento. Whether your child dreams of twirling through enchanted worlds or refining their technique in an inspiring, professional setting, these camps provide the perfect opportunity to learn, grow, and shine. Don’t miss this chance to experience the joy of ballet right in the heart of Davis!

YOUNG DANCER INTENSIVE
ONE WEEK SESSIONS – JULY 7 – JULY 11
Duration: Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 1:00pm
AGES 7 – 9
Cost: $300
In a fun, nurturing, and creative environment, students in the Young Dancer Intensive continue to hone their technique, artistry, musicality, and performance skills, led by School Director Jorge Laico and the faculty of Sacramento Ballet. They will delve into Ballet, Contemporary Dance, and Jazz.
There will be a mini-performance at the end of each session.
No audition is necessary to participate in the Young Dancer Intensive.
Attire – Girls: Black leotards, pink tights & shoes.
Boys: Plain white T-Shirts, black leggings & shoes.
FAIRYTALE CAMP – June 30 – July 3, 2025 (4 Days only)
Join us for a week-long summer camp to discover stories, dances and crafts about new and old fairy tales. Unicorns, fairies and many magical tales will be discovered through movement and a showing at the end of the week. Dancers will provide their own water bottle and snack every day. Performance on the last day Thursday, July 3.
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Age: 4 – 6
Cost: $200
Attire – Girls: Pink leotards, pink tights & shoes.
Boys: Plain white T-Shirts, black leggings & shoes.
