Join The School of Sacramento Ballet at the Davis Arts Center for Youth Ballet Camps in Spring 2026!

SLEEPING BEAUTY BALLET CAMPS
AGES 4-6 (9am-12pm)
AGES 7-10 (1-4:30pm)
DAVIS ART CENTER – FEBRUARY 7, 2026
COST: $275
Enjoy immersive ballet workshops based on the beloved classical ballet ‘The Sleeping Beauty,’ led by Shannon Zwick! These exciting programs offer extensive ballet training, including ballet technique class, exploring the story, characters and music of the ballet, making fun crafts, learning the pantomime between the Lilac Fairy and Carabosse, and some of the many variations of the fairies from Sleeping Beauty. The day wraps up with a special mini performance, giving participants the chance to shine and share what they’ve learned with friends and family. We encourage students and families to attend Sacramento Ballet’s performances of ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ at the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center February 13-15, 2026, with live music provided by Sacramento Philharmonic. Restaged and reimagined by Rehearsal Directors Elise Elliott and Stefan Calka, this production will transport the audience into the classic fairytale full of magic, curses, triumph and love. Dancers participating in the Sleeping Beauty camps will receive discounted tickets to a performance of Sacramento Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty.
Participating dancers should bring a snack and water, as well as wear a leotard, tights, and ballet slippers (or wear comfortable clothing and bare feet).

PETER RABBIT BALLET CAMPS
AGES 4-6 (9am-12pm)
AGES 7-10 (1-4:30pm)
DAVIS ART CENTER – MARCH 21, 2026
COST: $275
Enjoy immersive ballet workshops based on the childhood story of Peter Rabbit, led by Shannon Zwick! These exciting programs offer extensive ballet training, including ballet technique class, exploring the story, characters and music of the ballet, making fun crafts, learning original choreography from the ballet, and even meeting a few of the furry characters! The day wraps up with a special mini performance, giving participants the chance to shine and share what they’ve learned with friends and family. We encourage students and families to attend the Sacramento Ballet’s Second Company’s performance of Peter Rabbit at C.K. McClatchy on April 11th and 12th. Dancers participating in the Peter Rabbit camps will receive discounted tickets to a performance of Sacramento Ballet’s Family Series production of Peter Rabbit.

YOUNG DANCER INTENSIVES
JUNE 15-20
DAVIS ART CENTER
TIME: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Jump into a week of dance, creativity, and fun at our Young Dancer Intensive! Designed for ages 7-9, this exciting program offers one-week sessions where young dancers can develop their technique, musicality, and performance skills in a warm, supportive setting. From exploring ballet basics to expressing themselves through modern dance, hip-hop, contemporary, and jazz, dancers will experience a variety of styles that spark joy and creativity. Each session wraps up with a special mini performance, giving participants the chance to shine and share what they’ve learned with friends and family.
No audition is necessary to participate in the Young Dancer Intensive.
Tuition: $300 per week
Enrollment will open mid-January
2026 DAVIS CAMPS
All Davis Camps will take place at the Davis Arts Center, 1919 F St, Davis CA
JUNE 29 – JULY 3 – ENCHANTED GARDEN DANCE CAMP
9 AM – 1 PM
Discover a world of wonder at the Enchanted Garden Dance Camp! Dancers explore the magic of movement through graceful dance steps inspired by blooming flowers, fluttering butterflies, tea parties, and summertime fairies. A week of dance, games, crafts and more is planned. Discover a magical enchanted garden that will spark the imaginations of young dancers.
JULY 13 – 17 – WELCOME TO OZ
9 AM – 1 PM
The Wonderful World of Oz is a fun journey down the yellow brick road, immersing children in a captivating and engaging summer experience. Campers explore a beloved story through movement, games, stories, and fun that spark their imagination and expression.
JULY 27 – 31 – ONCE UPON A TIME
9 AM – 1 PM
This magical dance experience brings fairytales to life. Once Upon A Time dance camp invites children to step into a world of enchanting storybook ballets and fairytale characters. Through music, movement, and storytelling, campers explore their creativity and imagination becoming princes, princesses, and other fairytale characters. Fairytale crafts, games, stories and dancing make this camp experience memorable and fun!
