A native of Santa Cruz, California, Lauryn began her ballet training at Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre under the direction of former Sacramento Ballet artists Diane McLarty Cypher and Robert Kelley. She attended summer intensive programs on full scholarship at Pacific Northwest Ballet School.

Since joining the Sacramento Ballet, Lauryn has performed a wide variety of acclaimed ballets including principal roles in ballets by George Balanchine, Amy Seiwert, Ron Cunningham, Septime Weber, Ma Cong, Edwaard Liang, Trey McIntyre, Darrell Grand Moultrie, and Gabrielle Lamb. Some of her most memorable performances include the title role in Giselle, Kitri in Don Quixote, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Liberty Bell in Star & Stripes, Polyhymnia in Apollo, Sangunic in The Four Temperaments, and leading roles in Balanchine’s Rubies, Concerto Barocco, and Seiwert’s pas de deux It’s Not A Cry.
