Ms. Jackson is a familiar figure at performances in the capital region and San Francisco, and has been an active sponsor of the ballet’s artistic endeavors for more than ten years.

She herself is an award-winning costume designer and wardrobe mistress, and has volunteered for the Sacramento Opera and local theater groups for more than 40 years. She is a founding member of the Friends of UC Davis Presents, a volunteer organization that supports the campus’s arts presenting program, and she serves as a trustee of the UC Davis Foundation.

The dancers of the company have become accustomed, and look forward, to seeing her in the audience – whether at the Community Center Theater or at the In-Studio performances “up-close-and-personal.” (In fact, she has even taught a few of them how to knit.)
