Summer Workshops

Exciting News!
Melissa Sandvig of “So You Think You Can Dance” returns to Sacramento Ballet to guest teach at both the Summer Intensive and Young Dancers Workshop.

Summer Workshop Intensive
Designed for the serious dance student to give them an opportunity to test their abilities and renew their dedication to dance.
When: June 14 – July 2 (2 or 3 week sessions available)
Where: Sacramento Ballet Studios
Ages: Dancers 11 years of age and up (by April 11th) and at intermediate to advanced level. (Dancers will be placed into appropriate levels during Placement Class)
Placement Class: Sunday April 11th
Classes include: Ballet Technique, Pointe, Variations, Men’s Classes, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap and Pilates. Dancers will participate in 4 - 6 classes per day.

Young Dancers Summer Workshop
Designed for the Young Dancer this workshop will emphasize ballet while giving each student the opportunity to explore different genres of dance.
When: June 14-25 2009
Where: Natomas Charter School
Ages: Dancers age 8-11 (placed in levels according to ability and age)
Classes include: Ballet Technique, Variations, Musical Theatre, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, and a Dance Audition Preparation Workshop.
Dancers will participate in a minimum of 4 classes per day.
