BOARD BUILDING:  SACRAMENTO BALLET BOARD OF DIRECTORS ADDS TO ITS RANKS

A revitalized Board of Directors continues adding to its ranks with the election of two outstanding new members, Jeff Claire and Gregg Josephson, both of whom bring valuable talents and true dedication to their new roles in service of the Sacramento Ballet Association (SBA).

Jeffrey T. Clair
Jeff’s interest in the company dates back to 2000, when he served as the primary contact during his firm’s audit of the Ballet.  What was initially just another job, quickly turned into a growing interest and appreciation for the “dedication and athleticism of the dancers.” After completing his work with the Ballet in 2004, Jeff and his wife remained connected as season subscribers.  Realizing, however, that he enjoyed the performances more when he maintained some involvement with the company, Jeff decided to re-engage, but this time as a volunteer member of the Board of Directors.

In addition to serving as partner (audit services) with his firm Perry-Smith LLP, Jeff is an active volunteer, with past and present service to the Sacramento Home Loan Counseling Center, Boardlink Business Leadership Council, Sacramento Area Commerce & Trade Organization (SACTO) and the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps, among others.

Gregg D. Josephson
Gregg’s appreciation for ballet began while living in New York, where he frequented performances of the ABT and was a season subscriber to the New York City Ballet.  His broader involvement with performing arts comes from many years working in the entertainment industry as a theatrical agent with International Creative Management, where he represented many artists involved with the theatre, as well as film and television.

Two years ago, Gregg and his wife, Lainie, moved from Los Angeles to Sacramento, where he is an attorney with Downey Brand LLP, a long time institutional supporter of the Sacramento Ballet and provider of legal advice through its representation on the Board of Directors.
