OVERVIEW
Dancers attending The Sacramento Ballet’s Young Dancers Summer Workshop 2008, also known as Summer Workshop 2, will have the opportunity to train with professional dancers from The Sacramento Ballet as well as renowned artists from the Sacramento arts community.  While Ballet technique will be stressed at all levels, the young artists will have the opportunity to explore different genres of dance and broaden their wealth of arts experience with classes in acting and musical theatre.  The two week program will culminate with an informal demonstration designed to enhance the dancers’ performing skills.

DATES & TIMES
The Young Dancers Summer Workshop 2008 is a 2 week program, Monday through Friday, June 18 to June 29.  Students will participate in a minimum of four classes per day in a variety of dance styles including ballet, variations, musical theater, and tap.  Classes are from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL CLASS TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

REQUIREMENTS
Dancers must be between the ages of 8 and 11 with prior dance experience and will be placed in levels according to their age and ability.

LOCATION
The Young Dancers Summer Workshop will be held at Natomas Charter School, 4600 Blackrock Road in Natomas.  There is an open courtyard adjacent to the studios where the students can eat their lunch.  However, there is no waiting area for parents.  Please drop off your children at 8:45AM and pick them up by 3:15PM.

DEMONSTRATION
A workshop demonstration will be held June 26 at The Sacramento Ballet Studios at 1631 K Street.  Times will be announced during the workshop.

2008 TUITION
Since space is limited, enrollment will be accepted on a first-come, first serve basis.  Tuition for the two week session is $400 plus a $25 application processing fee.  Students must register by Friday, June 6, 2008.
