FREE IN-SCHOOL PROGRAMMING
DANCEPOWER! (recommended 1st through 5th grades)
The DancePower! program reaches out to economically disadvantaged students in first through sixth grades as well as to several community programs that serve educationally at risk children. The program is offered free of charge to the school and includes:
Teacher informational packets
In-School interactive assemblies with resident dancers from the Sacramento Ballet
Invitations to rehearsals at the Ballet’s midtown facility

OUTREACH IN THE COMMUNITY
SEND A CHILD TO THE BALLET
Be a part of The Sacramento Ballet’s community outreach programs by contributing $15 per child to our Send a Child to the Ballet campaign. Complimentary tickets to productions at the Community Center Theater are made available to children in need and social service organizations. Help us make a child’s wish come true. If you are an organization interested in obtaining tickets, download the following form and submit it in its entirety to the ballet offices.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Pre & Post-Performance Talks Artistic Director Ron Cunningham gives insight into the world of dance and choreography 45 minutes before curtain time. Following the performance, Mr. Cunningham and the dancers hold a question and answer session on the steps of the Grand Tier in the lobby.
Backstage Tours Tours are available for school groups and other types of community organizations. Please contact the Ballet in advance to schedule a tour. Call 916-552-5800 x109 for more information.
Shadow-A-Dancer The Ballet offers a shadowing program for those interested inlearnig about what a dancer’s life is really like. Programs also exist for wardrobe, administrative and production departments.
